Shades of Bray began early 2016 in the toilets of a nightclub in West Sussex. Jokes aside (maybe), GradLab project based at The Point gained Arts Council funding to create two new works. We created one of them. Head over Heels shares our encounters of contemporary dance training, the 90s and, of course, brexit. Think Spice Girls meets stand-up comedy with a side of contemporary dance. Yes, we are going there. Fun, frisky, loud and proud… be prepared for music from the 90s, good laughs and bad attitudes.

Premiere at The Place, London. 2017.

Bray bravely mocks the industry that made him in a piece that will reach out and grab the the heartstrings of those who have ever stepped foot into a dance class and performed a split leap or been asked to ‘use their breath’.
